Finally all repairs are completed and the factura (Spanish for invoice) has been received. It seems that the Siesta has amounted to a cool 400 euros, being 2 welds, a jubilee clip and paella for the whole family…

 

A final trip to the bar on the waterfront to ensure a good nights’ sleep, followed by some amendments to the Devon Life web site, and the four intrepid crew members are all set for a 5.30am departure. The first leg from Mahon will be 140 miles to a waypoint just 2 miles south of Formentera. Bearing 234 degrees true and a forecast of light northerly winds. I’ll believe it when I see it!
