I have received a telephone call from the delivery skipper to say that they had suffered engine failure whilst becalmed off Cape Finistere and had to call Falmouth Coastguard for assistance. As at 9:30am Lady Jenny was under tow by a Spanish coastguard vessel to an unknown destination for engine assessment and repairs. This is the very last thing I could of hoped for at this stage and has serious financial implications. A telephone call to my insurance company has been reassuringly positive but everyone here in the uk is on the edge of their seats awaiting news. I will post updates as they become available.
